Privacy Policy

School Bajar (“we”, “us”) provides school supplies ordering and delivery services through our website and Customer, Partner, and Admin mobile applications. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and how you can request deletion of your account.

1. Data we collect

• Account details: phone number, full name, and optional email address.
• Delivery addresses: home or other delivery addresses you save or use at checkout.
• Student information: student name, school, class/section, admission/roll numbers, and optional student photo (for school handoff identification).
• Order history: products ordered, amounts, fulfilment type, payment status, and status history.
• Delivery location (Partners): approximate location while a partner is on duty / fulfilling an assigned order, used only for delivery operations.
• Device tokens: FCM / push notification tokens and platform (Android/iOS) so we can send order updates.
• Delivery proof photos: images captured to confirm delivery or school handoff.
• Technical logs: limited app/API request metadata needed to secure and operate the service (for example timestamps and error diagnostics). We do not sell this data.

2. Why we use your data

• Create and manage your School Bajar account.
• Process, pack, deliver, and support orders.
• Coordinate school handoffs with the correct student details.
• Send transactional notifications (order status, delivery updates).
• Prevent fraud, enforce security controls, and meet legal/tax record-keeping duties.
• Improve reliability of delivery operations (partner location during active duty).

3. Sharing

We share personal data only as needed to fulfil your order:

• Staff / warehouse operators — to pack and prepare orders.
• Delivery partners — name, phone (as needed), delivery address, and relevant order/student details for fulfilment.
• Service providers — infrastructure, SMS/OTP, maps, and push notification vendors under contractual safeguards.
• Legal authorities — when required by applicable Indian law.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Retention

We retain account and order data for as long as your account is active and thereafter as required for business, accounting, tax, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. Delivery location pings for partners are retained for a limited operational period and then deleted or aggregated. When you delete your customer account, we deactivate the account and anonymise personal identifiers where orders must be retained.

5. Account deletion

Customer account deletion is available on the School Bajar website and in the Customer app: open Account → Delete account, confirm, and type your phone number.

Deletion may be blocked if you have active orders that cannot yet be cancelled (for example, orders already packed or out for delivery). Complete those orders, then try again.

6. Your rights

Subject to applicable law (including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), you may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data, and withdraw consent where processing is consent-based (for example partner location while on duty).

7. Security

We use industry-standard controls including encrypted transport (HTTPS), authenticated APIs, and access restrictions for staff and partners. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; please protect your device and login credentials.

8. Children

School Bajar is used by parents/guardians and school staff to order supplies for students. Student data is provided by the account holder for fulfilment. We do not knowingly offer independent accounts to children.
